Love, GildaLOVE, GILDA
Friday Oct 19, 7 pm
Saturday Oct 20, 4 and 7 pm
Sunday Oct 21, 4 pm

    The first thing that grabs you with this film is that Gilda Radner actually narrates much of her own life – it's as if she was talking directly to us, the audience. All of which is possible due to discovery of Gilda's library of audio and video tapes, diaries and notes-to-self.
    And instead of talking head reminiscences, Radner's diaries are movingly read by modern-day comedians inspired by Gilda (Bill Hader, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Cecily Strong). A clear and quite poignant portrait emerges of a fragile yet fiercely determined woman, who craved love above all.
    There's a reason Gilda was the very first person cast for Saturday Night Live's inaugural season — she was brilliant, funny, endearing, and sadly, gone way too soon.

Scary Movie Fest SCARY FILM FEST
 Friday Oct 26, 7 pm   BUBBA HO-TEP
 Saturday Oct 27, 4 pm   THE WITCH
 Saturday Oct 27, 7 pm   HEREDITARY
 Sunday Oct 28, 4 pm   LAST LOVERS LEFT ALIVE

  Single Screenings: $10/$8;
  Saturday Double-Feature: $15/$12;
  ALL FOUR FILMS: $30/$24.

    For unique adult interpretations of the horror genre, join us to experience the directorial genius of Jim Jarmusch, Don Coscarelli, Ari Aster and Robert Eggers (Sundance Best Director winner for Hereditary).
   You'll enjoy excellent performances by Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Ossie Davis, Toni Collette, Bruce Campbell, Anya Taylor-Joy, Gabriel Byrne, John Hurt and some impressive newcomers.
   Check out a single screening, the Saturday double-feature or treat yourself to all four. This is a great way to enjoy – on the big screen, in a darkened theatre, with kindred spirits.
    NOTE:  These are NOT slasher-splatter-jump-scare films. There is some violence of course – supporting but not driving story lines or screen time. Beyond the comedic Bubba Ho-Tep, the three other films feature nuanced horror – thoroughly scary – but more of the variety that pierces your subconscious, unsettles your mind and emotions.
